IMPORTANT RETIREE DATES: 3 OPTIONS FOR MEDICAL COVERAGE EFFECTIVE 1/1/2019
|
FROM THE BOARD – Barb Frank, President
ASK IRO Mailbox Question: When do I use my @intelretiree.com email address? When should I not use it? Answer: When your initial IRO membership request is accepted (requires approximately two weeks to verify retiree status after the request is submitted) you are issued an @intelretiree.com address. This is an “alias” address that simply forwards incoming email to the address you used when you signed up with IRO. This address validates you as a member of the Intel Retiree Organization and is useful to put on your retiree business cards. It allows you to sign up for certain discounts such as the free McAfee LiveSafe software. You can’t use it to send email and it will not work to set up a Retiree Circuit Portal account (use your personal email). If you don’t know your @intelretiree.com address, read about it here. |

Yes, there is life after Intel! Welcome to the Life After Intel section of our website. After retirement, many retirees choose to contribute to their communities by volunteering or by making donations to their favorite charities. Official Intel retirees remain eligible for the Intel Involved volunteer program and the Intel’s matching gift program. Read about these benefits under the Volunteering drop-down menu item. Also in the Life After Intel portion of our web site, you may read about how your fellow retirees are spending their retirement through both Retiree Stories and the Executive Series Stories drop-down menu items. Finally, although finding jobs after Intel is not within the charter of the Intel Retiree Organization, the Jobs drop-down allows you to check out Encore fellowship and networking opportunities. |
VOLUNTEER AND DONATION (BENEVITY) – Ben Manny & Annette Bachmeier, Co-chairs
USING BENEVITY WEBINAR NOW POSTED
In case you missed the live session, a recording of the Using Benevity webinar pilot is now posted and we would like your feedback. Intel considers this webinar ‘Intel Confidential/ shared for Intel retiree use only’ so it had to be posted in the IRO closed Facebook group videos section. Please send any feedback to the Intel retiree mailbox, intelretiree@gmail.com.
USE BENEVITY TO MATCH DONATIONS TO DISASTER RELIEF
Many disaster relief organizations are eligible to receive a matching gift using the Benevity portal. Matching gift program details are found here. This program will match your donations to eligible causes up to an annual limit of $5,000 that is reset on January 1st.
