Home Address Changes

Last modified on October 23, 2025

Verified accurate as of  October 23, 2025

Retirees should consider their personal situation and consider changing their mailing address with Intel or its vendors when a mailing address change occurs.

While the need to keep your address updated for tax purposes ends a few years after leaving Intel, the need to keep your information updated for Healthcare Benefits, as well as Fidelity and E*TRADE can carry on for years.

There are 4 processes that you could use to change your mailing address with Intel. IRO recommends always alerting Health Benefits when you have a home address change – this will ensure that you continue to get mailings about Retiree Medical Plans. If retirement from Intel is in your distant past, you probably don’t need to update your address for tax purposes. Decide if you need to change your address with Fidelity or E*Trade based on your knowledge of your relationship with these groups.

Update Address for Tax / Payroll Documents

– to ensure you continue to get tax documents from Intel (use for at least 18 months from your retirement date)

After leaving Intel, it is critical to ensure you have a current mailing address, telephone, and/or email address on record with Intel for at least 18 months.

You will need to keep your address updated for as long as there are open accounts or tax documents that would be generated. For some, this could be several years if you sell stock over time after you retire. To receive your W2 in a timely manner, your change of address must be received by the end of the first week of December of that year.

  • Here is the process to update your address with Intel that will ensure that you continue to receive your tax documents:
    • Send an email to passwordreset@intel.com with your request to access Workday as a retired employee
    • You will receive an email response with a template to fill out to verify your identity
      • Be sure to check your junk folder if you do not receive a response
      • Carefully review the instructions and ensure you enter the information exactly as requested
    • Send the completed template back
    • Intel will validate your identity and you will receive a response with your new username, password, and instructions on how to log in to Workday
      • Allow 4-6 business hours to receive your new credentials
    • Log into Workday with the new username/password. You will need to choose a new password upon logging in.
      • Your temporary password will expire after 90 days if you do not access your account
    • Once you’ve signed into Workday, navigate to the ‘Personal Information’ worklet, then select ‘Contact information’
    • Within Workday, you can also access the ‘Pay’ worklet to view and print past payslips and tax documents
