ATTENTION NEW RETIREES: WE NEED YOUR ASSISTANCE
If you retired in 2018 or later, we want to hear from you! We’re conducting a focus group teleconference on Wednesday, August 7 at 11:00 a.m. We would like to get feedback on our New Retiree Welcome page. Did you know that it exists? Was it useful to you as a new retiree? What is missing? If you can attend, please send us a note and we’ll send you further details.

There is minimal prework required (take a look at the site and consider your experience and the questions you may have had). The focus group will help expand your own knowledge, as well as making life easier for future retirees. Can’t make the August 7 teleconference? Send us a note and we’ll make arrangements to get your input separately. Please join us in improving the retiree experience.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR HEALTHCARE OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD
It is critical that you have your personal information and current addresses correct in your profiles at Intel Benefits website, and, if eligible, at the Medicare website. This will ensure that you receive the necessary information from Intel, your health insurers and Medicare! Click here to find the process to update your mailing address with Intel.

For seasoned Medicare folks now is a good time to ensure that you have the updated and latest Medicare ID card, as your old Medicare ID card maybe challenged after January 2020 when you visit your healthcare providers. Click to here for transition information.

• Intel Retiree Annual Enrollment period will run November 1, 2019 to November 29, 2019 for changes effective January 1, 2020. During this period, you can make changes to your health plan coverage.
• Medicare Annual Enrollment Period will run from October 15 to December 7, 2019 for coverage effective January 1, 2020. During this period, you can make changes to various aspects of your coverage.
• Between January 1 and March 31 each year, if you are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can leave your plan and return to Original Medicare, and buy a Part D prescription drug plan to supplement your Original Medicare.
• Healthcare Marketplace Annual Enrollment period for 2020 runs from November 1, 2019 to December 15, 2019. During this period, you can make changes to your coverage from your marketplace health plan.

IRO FACEBOOK MEMBERSHIP IS NOW 1,682! Facebook membership at Intel Retiree Organization members-only Facebook Group has been growing steadily since its inception in 2012. Our membership has now reached 1,682! This group is open only to Intel Retiree Organization members and is a great forum to share information, provide tips, discuss recommendations, promote yourself/ causes/ businesses and connect with your former co-workers. Join the fun – it’s easy! Just go to the IRO Facebook site and request membership. If your Facebook name is different than your IRO membership name, please send a note with that information to intelretiree@gmail.com. That allows our Facebook administrator to reconcile and accept your membership request. Just remember, if you have a retirement question or need help, sending a message to intelretiree@gmail.com is always your best bet.

VOLUNTEERING AND DONATIONS (BENEVITY) – Ben Manny & Annette Bachmeier, Co-chairs

DONATION REMINDER The simplest and surest way to get a donation matched is to make the donation through the Benevity tool early in the quarter. The donation and matching process happens immediately. Retirees donating directly to a cause require additional time to get a receipt and must comply with the 30-day window for submission. Those retirees may want to consider donating at the end of one quarter and requesting reimbursement at the beginning of the next quarter.

	ARIZONA: Mobile Pantry Food Distribution July 27, 2019; 8:30a.m. – 1:30p.m. Volunteers will have the opportunity to sort, package and distribute food items during this event. This benefits the local community to help families in need. Event location: Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
	FOLSOM: Folsom Community Service Day 2019 Saturday, September 21… more details coming The Folsom community is coming together again to plan the sixth annual Community Service Day, Folsom’s largest day of volunteerism. This powerful day of service mobilizes thousands of volunteers of all ages and interests to complete dozens of service projects throughout Folsom. Organizers are seeking community-based projects for this year’s Community Service Day event, planned for Saturday, September 21. Visit this space next month for more details!
	OREGON:  Annual DoveLewis Open Golf Tournament Monday, July 22; MULTPLE SHIFTSThe DoveLewis Open raises funds for our Portland Area Canine Therapy Teams (PACTT) program.
