MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR 2014
– Membership grew 21% from 2013, is currently over 3200 and growing faster than the total number of retirees!
– Retiree Circuit Portal implemented along with retiree access to the Employee Purchase Plan (EPP) and the Money Matters blog.
– McAfee discount available to retirees, included implementing a temporary procedure via the IRO mailbox.
– Retirees allocated 100 out of 400 seats at the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Moore’s Law in May

KEY PRIORITIES FOR 2015
-Work with Intel on using retirees as assets and define the process for retirees applying for Intel Retiree Staff Augmentation Contingent Workforce (SA CW) positions with Kelly OCG (Kelly Services).
– Improve access to non-confidential content through the Retiree Circuit portal, and make it the retiree one-stop portal of choice (ex. Intel Involved, Intel Store, McAfee).
– Educate Intel management to include retirees in more outside events
– Use the IRO story to educate others about the work of the organization and how Intel values are at work in our communities through our retirees.

MOORE’S LAW 50 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION INCLUDES MANY RETIREES
The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation in conjunction with Intel recently held a celebration of the 50 year anniversary of Moore’s Law. Intel invited retirees as retirees had worked with Gordon over the years and had played crucial roles in helping to keep Moore’s Law on track. ALMOST $9 MILLION PAID OUT THROUGH VOLUNTEER EFFORTS
In 2014 volunteer hours were up 15% and the number of retirees participating was up 18% over 2013. A total of 167 Intel retirees reported 50,780 Intel Involved volunteer hours for 260 unique 501(c)3 organizations. View the payout report here.
