Retiree Discount Program FAQs

Last modified on June 30, 2026
Who is eligible to participate?

Official Intel Retirees are eligible. US and international retirees may participate in the Beneplace Retiree Discount Program (effective June of 2026). Find out if you are eligible here:  https://intelretiree.com/retirement-guidelines/

With the expansion of the Beneplace Retiree Discount Program to International retirees will there be an addition of new merchants to the existing program?

No, not initially. However Beneplace and Intel have an on-going program to add merchants. Access to the program is being extended to International retirees. All discounts on the Beneplace website continue to be available to US retirees.

I am an employee of an international site, will I be required to prove my relationship to Intel?

In general, no additional identification is required other than registering to gain access to the Beneplace through the IRO link. (There may be some discounts that require additional identification).

I see a discount available on the Intel Retiree Organization website for an Employee Purchase Program. Are International employees able to participate in this discount program?

While the change to the Beneplace Employee/Retiree Discount program doesn’t affect this aspect of the retiree discount programs – Yes, international retirees can participate in the Employee Purchase Program (EPP).

Where can I see a list of Intel employee benefits and discounts NOT offered to retirees?

Click here https://intelretiree.com/employee-discounts-not-available-to-retirees/ for the list of discounts not available before emailing to the IRO mailbox.

What has happened to WOW points (Ireland, UK, US)?

WOW points are no longer part of our discount program. You can no longer redeem them as of January 1, 2019

I keep hearing about Benevity and Beneplace. What are they and what’s the difference?

Both Benevity and Beneplace are vendors that Intel contracts with to provide services.  Benevity is the vendor that provides the on-line tool for the Intel Involved Matching Grant Program (Volunteering) and the Intel Matching Gifts Program (Donations). Beneplace is the vendor that manages Intel’s Employee Discounts Program also available to Intel official retirees.  Register for both to take advantage of your official retiree benefits

Can I nominate a Merchant to be added to our Employee Discount Program?

Yes, at the bottom of the page in the Employee Discount Program web site, click on the “Nomination Form” and fill out the online form provided.

Products or services offered by Intel clients, business partners and vendors are preferred. Intel must approve all proposals to ensure that they meet the guidelines and that no issues exist with the clients, vendors or partners providing the product or service

Are either of the discount programs the same as the Passport Discount Program? What about the Advantage Program?

The Passport Discount program that was in use in the United States for many years was eliminated in December of 2014. The Advantage program replaced it and has now been changed to the Employee Discount Program which is now the place to go for employee/retiree discounts on a global basis

What happened to the Advantage Program? What does this mean for me?

On March 12, 2018, Intel launched the new platform for the discount program. This meant a change for the Intel retiree platform as well. The main changes to the program were:

  1. Name change: Advantage became Employee Discount Program –the name of the program for both Intel employees and retirees
  2. Simplified registration – email only with passcode
  3. EOL of WOW points – they could no longer be used.
  4. Intel Exclusive offers were incorporated into all offers
Who do I contact if I have questions or need more information?
