To maintain membership and continue receiving communications from IRO, you must contact IRO to change to your email address.
To change your email address with the Intel Retiree Organization (IRO):
- Notify IRO of the change by sending an email to intelretiree@gmail.com.
- We will need both your old email address (to validate your identity) and your new email address
- For example, if Brian Beck (formerly at beckbri@gmail.com) changed his personal email address to beckbrian123@gmail.com, he would send an email to intelretiree@gmail.com to notify IRO of the change. He would provide his old email address (beckbri@gmail.com) and his new address (beckbrian123@gmail.com)
- Your @intelretiree.com email address will generally stay the same as it was, just pointing to your new email address e.g.; beckbri@intelretiree.com pointing to beckbrian123@gmail.com
- If you would like it to align your new email for you to remember it, e.g. beckbrian123@gmail.com / beckbrian123@intelretiree.com, please explicitly request that in your email
To learn more about your @intelretiree.com, see the FAQs @intelretiree.com Email Address
Please do not update your email address in MailChimp yourself
Our mailer service (MailChimp) will let you change your email, but PLEASE DO NOT change it this way. If you do your forwarder will not be pointed correctly and it takes quite a while for the IRO VOLUNTEERS to research and correct this. Pointing to a cancelled / closed mail service will potentially cause email delivery issues for everyone in IRO as well by giving our domain a reputation for undeliverable email.
