- These campaigns select eligible causes that have been vetted by Intel and Benevity. Donations to campaigns can only be made through the Benevity site and NOT directly to the cause and later submitted as a match request. Campaigns typically last for 2 weeks or until the campaign matching cap has been reached. Some campaigns have had their matching caps increased if the matching cap has been reached in only a few days
- Campaign notifications are emailed to IRO members & posted in the IRO Facebook group. The notice contains a link to the Benevity posted campaign. The posting describes the crisis, lists included causes, provides time frame, explains the matching cap, and gives a link to the donation form. The posting also indicates if the campaign has been expanded to employees worldwide or limited to the U.S.
- Campaigns have their own matching caps and deadlines. The donor’s matching cap is typically $1,000 and usually does not count against the donor’s annual $10,000 cap. This enables donors to contribute who have already hit their annual limit
- Donating to the main campaign will split your donation equally among the causes in the campaign. If you would like to donate to a specific cause in the campaign only, click “view cause” within this campaign, then donate to that cause separately, all special campaign rules will apply during the campaign. After the campaign is over, donations to the specific causes revert to the normal donation guidelines
