Employee Discount vendors may require proof of Intel retiree status. A few vendors who do are Ford, Volkswagen, Adidas and Columbia Sportswear.
Start the process of applying for the vendor’s discount on the Employee Discount website.
When you select a vendor or product or offer, you will be presented with an “offer detail” page with information about the specific offer and instructions on how to redeem, including what you will need to provide to prove your eligibility. You will be directed from the Discount Program site to the specific merchant site to make a purchase. It’s possible you won’t know the proof required until you reach the vendor’s web site, or otherwise make contact with the vendor.
For autos, part of the process will include going to a dealer’s lot with some information which you received when applying on the Employee Discount site, which shows that you are eligible for the discount. You may be asked at that time to prove your Intel retiree status. Vendors and dealers vary regarding their requirements.
