Timeline

  • 2001: Intel Retiree Organization was established with a focus on volunteering
  • 2001 – Present: Committees formed to facilitate organizational business (Leadership, Communications, Health & Benefits, Website, Discount, Matching and Donations, and Site Coordinators)
  • 2005: Launched IRO website 
  • 2007: First publication of the IRO News Flash (newsletter)
  • 2008: Intel Corporation accepted our charter and bylaws and we became the official Intel Retiree Organization for Intel retirees expanding the focus of the organization to include all aspects of being an Intel retiree
  • 2010: IRO mailbox established as a means of communication
  • 2012: Established a private Facebook presence now exceeding 2,200 members
  • 2022: Over 40% of Intel retirees have joined the intel Retiree Organization. We now number more than 16,000 Intel retirees worldwide and in excess of 14,000 US Intel retirees. We have members in Arizona, Folsom, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Oregon, Santa Clara, plus various international sites
