SERMA Payment Processing Error – January 2023

If you are enrolled in COBRA or one of the Intel retiree medical plans (IRMP) and using your SERMA funds to pay monthly premiums, please be advised there was an issue causing January SERMA payments to be deposited into your checking account or sent to you via a mailed check in addition to being applied toward your monthly premiums. 

If you received an ACH deposit in your checking account, this payment has been reversed and will reflect on your next banking statement.

If you received a mailed check, please destroy the check and do not attempt to cash it. We have since cancelled the check by issuing a stop payment. 

We are working to ensure all SERMA account balances are accurate and are in the process of making corrections to reconcile any discrepancies caused by the issue.
