INTEL ANNOUNCES $3.5 BILLION EXPANSION IN RIO RANCHO |
VOLUNTEERING AND DONATIONS (BENEVITY) – Ben Manny & Annette Bachmeier, Co-chairs
FIRST ROUND PAYOUT REPORT FOR 2020 INTEL INVOLVED HOURS AVAILABLE Round one payout checks for 2020 hours were mailed in April. The first round payout report is posted on the IRO Website. No commitment of funds on behalf of Intel or the Intel Foundation should be made to any cause until their payout is listed on this report. Please verify your cause and payout is listed as expected. For discrepancies, please email retiree.volunteers@intel.com. Lost checks, and failure for a cause to annually renew eligibility are issues that can be resolved and fixed in the next round of payouts. Two additional payout rounds are planned. |
INDIA COVID-19 RESURGENCE CAMPAIGN CLOSED WITHIN 24 HOURS The Intel Foundation announced a crisis relief campaign on Tuesday, April 27 on Circuit. Its $250K special matching cap was hit in less than 24 hours, before IRO could get the word out due to the urgency and speed of establishing this campaign. The good news is you can still donate to the featured cause, SEWA, through Benevity without being subjected to the campaign donation restrictions. You can also make a donation directly to SEWA, and request a match through Benevity which was not possible during a campaign. While the matching dollars will come from your annual $10K matching cap, instead of the campaign’s special matching cap they will not be subjected to the $1,000 campaign donation matching cap. |
NEW DONATION MATCHING PROGRAM PROVISION The cause for a pending donation can now be changed as explained in the recently updated Donation Matching Program guidelines found here. Once a donation has been submitted using the Benevity Portal, the donation dollars are committed and cannot be recalled. But they can now be redirected to another cause as detailed in the updated guidelines. |
