Welcome to the new year!
Let’s hope 2021 is a better, healthier, and more prosperous year for all of us. Intel adds a new CEO later this month as Pat Gelsinger returns to the company to take the reins. I’m sure many of us worked with Pat in the past and wish the best for him and Intel.
The Intel Retiree Organization volunteers are back at work (they never really stopped) and I thought it would be good to highlight a few of IROs ongoing programs that provide service to many of us throughout the year. I would encourage you to take advantage of these resources if you have a need.
The first is the Official Intel Retiree Organization website. There is a team working to keep this information up-to-date. The latest deadlines, announcements, discounts, how-to do somethings and more are at your fingertips. You also have access to all the back issues of the News Flash and (under the ‘Contact Us’ section) you can link to the Retiree Mailbox.
The second highlight is IRO’s Retiree Mailbox. If you can’t find the information you need on the IRO website, here’s a chance for personalized service. Volunteers monitor the mailbox 365 days a year and tap into the collective knowledge of our group to help you find the right place to find the answer to your question. There are times when tracking down the right person or place within Intel to answer your question can been challenging, and through the mailbox, we may be able to help. It’s there to give you a helping hand.
The final service or capability I want to highlight is IRO’s members-only Facebook group. It’s our social media outlet and provides a chance to connect with some of your Intel colleagues of the past. You can join in group discussions, pass on some information and opinions, or share some memories. It’s only available to IRO members, but I please check it out and see if you want to reach out to Intel friends.
Here’s hoping a healthy and happy 2021 for each and every one of you.
