Run out dates for Health FSA and Dependent Care Program If you retired from Intel in 2019 and participated in a Flexible Spending Account (Health FSA) or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) you have until May 31, 2020 to submit claims for eligible expenses incurred from your coverage effective date through your coverage end date. SERMA REIMBURSEMENT SUBMISSION DEADLINE – MAY 31, 2020 Gather any remaining qualifying health premium receipts and file for all of your 2019 SERMA reimbursements. You officially have until May 31, 2020 for your run-out period.
HEALTHCARE INFORMATION REVAMPED Your Healthcare Committee has been working hard behind the scenes to update the information you find under the Healthcare tab on the website. Check out the new look and see how the site has been updated to keep you informed. The first drop-down has an introduction to the healthcare site, defines an official Intel retiree, and provides links to sources of healthcare information. Other drop-downs include US official retiree health care options, SERMA information and healthcare news (currently highlighting COVID-19). For more information, visit IRO HealthCare Benefits.
COMMUNICATION – Debbie Watson and Deborah Wright, Co- Chairs ARE YOU MISSING HUMAN CONTACT DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC? One avenue of staying socially connected with your fellow retirees is the Intel Retiree Organization members-only Private Facebook group. Over 1,800 of your former colleagues congregate there to discuss topics of interest and share ideas. Join the fun – it’s easy! Just go to the IRO Facebook site and request membership. If your Facebook name is different than your IRO membership name, please send a note with that information plus your WWID to intelretiree@gmail.com. That allows our Facebook administrator to reconcile and accept your membership request. Just remember, if you have a retirement question or need help, sending a message to intelretiree@gmail.com is always your best bet.
VOLUNTEERING AND DONATIONS (BENEVITY) – Ben Manny & Annette Bachmeier, Co-chairs SPECIAL CORONAVIRUS DONATION MATCHING CAMPAIGN EXTENDED TO MAY 22 The donation deadline for the special coronavirus relief match has been extended to May 22 or until the 2-Million-dollar matching cap is reached. The donation cap of $5,000 per employee has been increased to $10,000 per employee. The campaign was also expanded to 37 localities. FIRST ROUND PAYOUT OF 2019 INTEL INVOLVED HOURS TARGETED FOR MAY Round one payout checks for 2019 hours are targeted for the end of May. Payout reports received from Intel are announced and posted on the IRO website. No commitment of funds on behalf of Intel or the Intel Foundation should be made to any cause until the payout report has been published and made public.
