SPECIAL CORONAVIRUS DONATION MATCHING CAMPAIGN ENDS APRIL 1O The Intel Foundation has identified strategic organizations unique to each site that focus on helping local communities manage the impact of Coronavirus. The campaign provides this for seven US and seven International sites. Donations made to any of these local site causes found in the Benevity portal will be matched until April 10 or until the campaign’s two-million-dollar budge cap has been reached. A copy of the IRO email sent on March 26 with full details is found here. |
2019 RETIREE VOLUNTEER HOURS WERE DOWN ABOUT 6% FROM LAST YEAR A total of 634 retirees logged 145,925 Intel Involved hours which was a decrease from the 154,725 hours logged in 2018 by 711 retirees. Less than 6% of eligible retirees reported 2019 hours. This year non-profits are having to cancel or delay many Spring fund raisers and could really use the extra income from reporting volunteer hours. The good news is that first round payout checks for 2019 hours are targeted for the end of May. Payout reports are announced and posted on the IRO website. No commitment of funds on behalf of Intel or the Intel Foundation should be made to any cause until the payout report has been published and made public. |
NEW DONATION MATCHING PROGRAM GUIDELINES EASE SOME DEADLINES The latest Donation Matching Program Guidelines have extended the program close date from the second Friday in December to the 31 at 3:00 PM PST (which avoids going past midnight UTC), no exceptions. Matching requests for 2020 donations need to be submitted by 11:59p.m. January 15, 2021. Other recently announced changes include the elimination of quarterly budget caps and extending the window for submitting a match request from 30 to 60 days from the time the direct donation was received by the cause. |
