Happy New Year from your Intel Retiree Organization volunteers! Every year the IRO board and committee members work tirelessly on behalf of you, the Intel Retiree. RETIREES RECEIVING A W2 FROM INTEL
Intel will mail your W2 to the mailing address that they have on record for you as of the end of 2017. It will be mailed by January 31. If you have not received your W2 by the middle of February, you can request a copy by calling the Get HR Help 800 number (1-800-238-0486) and select either the payroll option or option zero. If you have received your W2 and have questions, you can also request a W2 Breakdown Letter which details what was included in each box on your W2. Remember to use the voicemail/call back option if hold times are long.
DISCOUNTS – Cheryl Pruss, Chairperson
McAFEE SOFTWARE FOR INTEL RETIREES
About mid-December retirees began to encounter a problem using the code provided though the McAfee validation process (you access this from the IRO website). Without the correct code, verification to get the free software doesn’t happen. At this time, the process to get free McAfee software for retirees is not functional. We will let you know through an announcement when the situation is resolved.
COMMUNICATION – Debbie Watson, Chairperson
HOT TOPIC FORUMS GET A THUMBS UP!
The Pilot program for the Hot Topic Forums is DONE and we surveyed the participants for feedback. We received mostly positive feedback indicating the Finding Healthcare after COBRA Forum was useful and that we should continue to offer IRO Hot Topic Forums. We also received suggestions on how we could make future Forums better.
After considering retiree feedback, as well input from the IRO volunteers required to administer the program, the Communications Team unanimously agreed to continue with Hot Topic Forums as a communications channel. The Hot Topic Forums will only be held when there is a timely and relevant topic that requires expert input. Some retirees requested other, more general, forums. The Communications Team will consider that request in 2018.

Intel announced they will be migrating the Intel Involved program to Benevity. This migration will simplify reporting hours and tracking payouts. IRO is working with Intel to communicate these changes. If you currently do NOT have a Benevity account; email support@benevity.org and indicate that you are a U.S. retiree and provide your WWID.
