FROM THE BOARD – Barb Frank, President
RETIREE CONTINGENT WORKFORCE UPDATE
Retiree Contingent Workforce positions with Kelly OCG are currently on hold within Intel. No new CW requisitions are coming in. We’ll let you know when the situation changes.
IMPORTANT RETIREE DATES
In our survey of IRO members, we learned retirees wanted information on Intel benefits and due dates. A new feature, Important Retiree Dates has been added to the IRO website where you can find annual due dates and deadlines associated with all Intel retiree benefits. We are currently working to create and add useful information for new Intel retirees who are within their first 18 – 24 months of retirement.
MEET THE NEW IRO BOARD SECRETARY
Welcome to our new secretary Kathy Beck. Learn more about Kathy by clicking here.
ASK IRO Mailbox Question: Will IRO post volunteer opportunities for non-profit organizations that want to take advantage of Intel retiree expertise? Answer: Yes! IRO is happy to share volunteer opportunities for qualified non-profit organizations or schools, as long as the opportunity is sponsored by an Intel employee or retiree. Check out our guidelines for posting volunteer opportunities. To get maximum visibility, retirees may also consider mentioning the opportunity on the IRO members-only Facebook Group. |
HEALTH & Benefits – Tom Piete, Chairperson
WHAT IS SERMA?
Sheltered Employee Retiree Medical Account (SERMA) is a funding credit, provided by Intel, to most U.S. Intel retirees hired prior to January 1, 2014. It helps pay health insurance premiums (medical, dental, vision, long-term care) for the retiree and eligible dependents during retirement years. Click here (scroll down to #4) to get the details about what SERMA is and what it is not.

LENOVO DISCOUNT RESTORED
