IRO SURVEY UPDATE
Work is ongoing to analyze the information received from September’s survey of 1,000 IRO members. While action plans won’t be available until Plan 2017, here are some interesting facts and figures: 35% retired in 2015 or 2016; 90% retired prior to being Medicare eligible; 30% have (or are) working for a wage after retirement.

IT’S TIME TO LOOK AT HEALTH INSURANCE OPTIONS FOR 2017
The Intel Retiree Annual Enrollment period runs from Nov. 7 – Dec. 2, 2017. Be sure to read the information in the packet that Intel is sending to you in early November to find out about your medical, and vision plan options. You can also get useful information from the IRO web site.
MEDICARE ELIGIBLE RETIREES:
The IRMP plans (with or without Rx) that coordinate with Medicare often are misunderstood by retirees. See page 12 of your open enrollment guide for a good explanation of how these plans work. These are Indemnity plans, not Supplemental plans. The plan with Rx is creditable to Medicare part D.

Send an email to support@benevity.org stating that you are a U.S. retiree and provide your WWID. Benevity will verify your WWID, reply with a temporary password, the URL to log in and other instructions. This is the only way to receive Intel matching grants for your donations to educational organizations, non-profits. For complete details of the program click here.
DEADLINES APPROACHING
Requests for matching donations under the new Matching Gifts program must be submitted within one year of the donation. For the request to use your 2016 Matching Funds, the match request should to be submitted by January 2017. More details are found in this FAQ.
The deadline for submitting 2016 volunteer hours for Intel Involved payouts to the non-profits and schools is January 15, 2017. This program is separate from the Matching Gifts program. Details on the program and how to submit hours as a retiree are found here.
