Attendance at board meetings is open to all retirees who are members of IRO. If you would like to listen to your board at work, please send a request with one week’s notice to Barb Frank at Frankbarbara@sbcglobal.net.
Are you a new retiree? Visit the IRO website where we have summarized key information.

IN PURSUIT OF TRIVIA
Retirees are one of the best sources of Intel history. We need your memories in creating Intel trivia facts for an upcoming contest! Click here for examples and all the details.
THE SHOCKING TRUTH…
As IRO membership exceeds 3300, the communication tasks continue to increase, with our monthly News Flash being the main source of information. We are looking for volunteers who can give a few hours a month to help with the layout and editing or utilizing the web software. Interested in being connected to all that is happening with retirees? Drop a note to our mailbox at intelretiree@gmail.com.
HEALTH/BENEFITS – Tom Piete, Chairperson
MCAFEE SOFTWARE DISCOUNT UPDATE

KNOW ANY RETIRED EXECUTIVES?
What do Tom Innes, Tom Dunlap and Gerry Parker have in common? All these executives have shared their Life After Intel stories with IRO. We’d like to interview more “officially” retired Intel executives and need your help in submitting recommendations and available contact information to our mailbox at intelretiree@gmail.com. Then, we’ll do the rest!
FROM STREET CHILD TO INTEL MENTOR
Recent retiree, Shu-ling Garver, shared her unique history with CNN Money. Few have come as far, from a homeless child in Shanghai, to Intel engineer and now a successful entrepreneur following her passion to excite children (especially girls) about science and engineering. Read her story here.
VOLUNTEER – Ben Manny, Chairperson
WRITE ON!
Through Intel’s Matching Grant, the Calligraphic Society of Arizona received funds to purchase a document camera that has transformed workshops! No longer do 30 students crowd around a table to get a view of the technique being demonstrated. Read all about it here.
NEW EMAIL ADDRESS FOR INTEL INVOLVED QUESTIONS
Questions about payouts and submitted hours should first go to retiree.volunteers@intel.com rather than easymatch at the JK Group. If you still need help, send your questions to the IRO mailbox at intelretiree@gmail.com.
INTEL OREGON INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW OPPORTUNITIES
Intel is once again the title sponsor for this year’s Oregon Air Show featuring the Blue Angels. Volunteer work counts as Intel Involved hours and you get a free T-shirt plus free admission. This link has all the details.
