Our board meetings are open to all retirees. Join us for the next one on February 25. If you would like to attend, contact Barb Frank one week ahead at Frankbarbara@sbcglobal.net with your request to join us.
Welcome New Retirees! Visit the IRO website where we have summarized key information for new retirees.
FROM THE BOARD – Barb Frank, President
We announced the new Retiree Circuit Portal in January, and it is working well. If you have not registered for it yet, click here for the process. Knowing your former employee number and your official name are requirements of registering. If you have forgotten your number, you must call the Intel Call Center and answer a few security questions to get your old number. They can also provide you with your name as it appears in Intel records. The call center is currently experiencing long hold times due to an employee announcement earlier this month. The management of the call center is actively working to reduce hold times. Remember to use the voicemail/call back option if hold times are long.
HEALTH/BENEFITS – Cheryl Pruss, Chairperson
TWO ADVANTAGE DISCOUNT ISSUES
1) All wireless/cell phone discounts on the Advantage program are currently under review by the Advantage program and the service providers. NO DISCOUNTS for wireless/cell phone providers are available through the Advantage program currently. We will keep you informed of the progress as we are aware this discount is very important to retirees.
2) The Microsoft discount on the Advantage program is NOT available to retirees.
ARE YOU A RETIREE WHO WAS PAID BY INTEL IN 2014?
You should have received your 2014 W2 form. If you don’t receive it this week, retirees need to call the Get HR Help number (800-238-0486) to request a copy. You will get through to a representative by selecting the payroll option or option zero. Remember to use the voicemail/call back option if hold times are long.
SUBMIT 2014 SERMA CLAIMS BY MARCH 31, 2015
The SERMA plan year runs from January 1 through December 31. You’re allowed to submit SERMA claims for the prior year through March 31 as long as the premiums occurred while you were eligible to utilize your SERMA credits. To file claims you can click here and click on the My Health Benefits link.

Lorraine Matthews retired from Intel Folsom after 37 years of service, but had always been fond of all types of sewing. While looking at fabrics fifteen years ago, she decided to enroll in a quilting class and was hooked. Eventually Lorraine’s Quilting Corner was born. Read her story here.

In a keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show, Brian Krzanich, CEO, said Intel has set a goal for its workforce — at all levels of the company — to become “fully representative” of the diversity of the country’s available talent by 2020 and will commit $300 million to the effort.
