INTEL’S ANNUAL ENROLLMENT TIME COMING UP
Annual Enrollment for retiree healthcare insurance through Intel will be from October 28 through November 15, 2013. Look for materials explaining the Intel IRMP options, sent to your home prior to the starting date. As a reminder, 2014 healthcare changes related to the Affordable Care Act, make it possible for those who are not yet Medicare eligible to shop for healthcare insurance on the “exchanges” now called “Health Insurance Market Place” – even if you have pre-existing conditions. To find out which plans are available in your state, click here and select your state of residence. Intel has provided some additional guidance to retirees regarding the Affordable Care Act and IRMP, SERMA, COBRA and Medicare. Click here to see the Q and A’s.

WANT TO PASS ON YOUR ENGINEERING EXPERTISE?
The Oregon Institute of Technology needs technical readers to help guide student research and read term papers for a writing class. This can be done from anywhere using the internet. The students are typically sophomores just getting started in their engineering classes. Their majors include electronic, mechanical, manufacturing, software, and renewable energy engineering, engineering management, information technology, and healthcare technology fields. A complete description of this opportunity is found here. It is the student’s responsibility to find and communicate with a technical reader. If you are interested in having a student contact you to determine if there is a match, please email Ben Manny, giving your preferred contact information and area of engineering expertise.
