FROM THE BOARD – Barb Frank, President
NEW DISCOUNTS NOW AVAILABLE TO RETIREES!
Thanks to hard work by Intel retirees, Cheryl Pruss, Judy Goodman, and Intel, we have expanded many employee discounts to retirees. Click on the Intel Vault Card link. Log on to the Passport website using retiree@intel.com as your email address to find available discounts. New discounts include Ford, Chrysler, AT&T, Sprint, HP, Dell and Lenovo. Verizon is NOT offering a retiree discount at this time.
AT&T, Sprint and Chrysler require validation as an Intel retiree. For their validation only, we have created a unique Intel retiree email address for you to use, ending in @intelretiree.com. As an example, if your current email is frankbarbara@sbcglobal.net, your Intel retiree email address would be frankbarbara@intelretiree.com. For the AT&T, Sprint and Chrysler discounts, use the @intelretiree.com email address. These companies may send an email to your new @intelretiree.com address for validation reasons. This address will forward these emails to your personal email address. (There is no physical mailbox set up to give you access to send emails from this address.) It can take AT&T 30 minutes to confirm, but you will receive an additional 20% discount on cellular service. You do not need to use this for any other discounts at this time or for any other purposes.
We continue to work on extending additional discounts to retirees which might need this unique email address. Specific details on these four discounts, our efforts to increase discounts or employee program benefits and why Intel cannot offer certain discounts or access to employee programs can be found here as Part 3 of our series. If you have any questions, please contact our mailbox.

Q1/Q2 – 2012 INTEL INVOLVED PAYOUT REPORT NOW POSTED
The Intel Foundation payouts for reported 2012 volunteer hours is found here. This report shows the accumulated payouts that were distributed in Q1 and Q2 – 2012. A report for Q3 is expected in October. Additional payouts are planned for Q4 as some non-profits still have not completed the new paperwork this year affirming compliance to Intel’s non-discriminatory policy. The spreadsheet states that one can check on eligibility of an organization by clicking on a link, however this link is behind the Intel firewall and not available for Intel retirees. You can check on the compliance or payout status of an organization by sending an email directly to intel@easymatch.com.

ANNUAL DINNER EVENT EMAILS ARRIVING SOON
Email invitations which provide details on how to sign up for our annual fall dinner events will be sent to all members in late September/early October. Intel no longer mails invitations to all retirees, so be sure to check your emails for your fall event invitation.
