INSURANCE BROKER CONTACTS
Due to an overwhelming response last month for names of insurance brokers, we are repeating the information. If you are looking to understand your options and considering purchasing insurance on the open market, we have three insurance brokers (AZ, OR and CA) whom retirees have used with good results. To receive contact information for these brokers, send us an email along with your site. If you live in other states, help may be available through the insurance commission of your state. Go to this website for more information.

INTEL INVOLVED HOURS DEADLINE – JANUARY 15
The Intel Involved program is a benefit for retirees. The hard deadline for reporting 2012 volunteer hours is January 15, 2013. Last year only 118 (3%) US retirees reported their hours. This resulted in $37,500 being granted to the non-profits where the hours were worked. Hours are submitted by completing this simple one page web based form. See our website volunteering page for complete instructions and tips on how to report hours, including hours that were volunteered outside the US.
HELP CHILDREN WHO LOSE THEIR FAMILIES
A brown bag orientation for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) will be held Wednesday, January 23rd from noon to 1pm in JF3 -101 (Jones Farm Campus, Oregon). Too many children in the child welfare system lose their families, their rights and their hope. Join the fight to make sure this does not happen. Find out more about CASA including contact information and how you can help.
