WANT TO KNOW WHO OUR 1700+ IRO MEMBERS ARE?
We have had multiple requests to post the names of our membership list (no email addresses). We are considering doing this on our website by January 2013. This would enable retirees to reconnect and stay in touch with retired Intel friends. Is this something you would like us to implement? Send any feedback to our mailbox. Your inputs are important to us and to Intel.

SMART PHONE APP FOR VAULT CARD DISCOUNT
Vault Card users may want to search your smart phone application store for the Passport Mobile application. This application shows a map of your current location with businesses that give Vault Card discounts. Details on how to obtain a Vault Card and how to login to the discount site are found here. After you have logged into the discount site, click on MEMBERS FAQ at the very bottom of the first page. There you will find a set of questions under the heading: Using the Passport Mobile Smartphone App. Note that the application works on Android smart phones but has issues on tablets.

UPDATE! NEW EMPLOYEE ORIENTATION FOR ON-BOARDING PILOT
The April News Flash announced a volunteer opportunity to help Intel welcome and orient new hires to Intel culture. Response was good, but we just received notification that there are legal issues for performing volunteer work that directly benefits Intel or its employees. There are no legal issues for volunteer work that benefits the community, such as conducting tours of the Intel museum. We are waiting to hear back from Intel if they are interested in paying for our help with this program. We are hopeful this will lead to other short term, paid opportunities where the unique experiences, skills, and availability of retirees are a good fit.
